When a reference is made to remote support software, it is often shought of that it is only for desktop support. Most often it includes remote control of a desktop desktop operating system to solve a user issue regarding and application or hardware configuration that includes installing or updating a driver.  What it also includes is remote control of server consoles even without an operating system or hard drives installed on the server.

Dell has such remote support access through just a browser in the form of technology called DRAC and iDRAC. This technology is a time saver and a tue helpful method to provide remote support over the web or on a LAN. Remote control access to the server is provided through a special board most often built-on the main board of the system but could be added in the form of a DRAC (Dell Remote Access Card). add-on card.
