Having been involved with several Exchange 2003 to Exchange 2010 migrations with more to come, I’ve seen some interesting anomalies and differences in the installations and mail-flow issues.  One of which of course is at one of the installations there was no email between Exchange 2003 And Exchange 2010 Servers. After There was no email flow between the two email servers. A connector had to be created manually. The connector for this istallation was not created automatically to permit email to transcend from 2003 Exchange to Exchange 2010 and vice versa.

On another, the connector had been created during the installation but after several days to a week email stopped moving between the server versions. The connector had to be re-created using the Exchange Shell interface.

The connectors can be displayed using the Shell Command line:

Simply issue the command get-connectors and hit enter. This will display your connectors.
