HP’s ILO technology is built-into their servers. It was developed for remote access to servers even when they are not booting to the server operating system such as Windows or VMware for example to name a few. HP’s ILO is web based if the proper firewall access is enabled by the admin in advance. I anticipate seeing such access to servers to be available to an online service which would mean the server would connect out to a site and register and make themselves available for connectivity.
